The Essential Slip-On
A soft leather slip-on for easy mornings, effortless days, and the sensual simplicity of summer.
Made to Order, handcrafted in England, estimated production time of approximately two weeks. Complimentary standard UK delivery; international delivery charges are shown at checkout.
The Essential Slip-On is an atelier house style, handmade in England in selected leather, suede, or specialist fabric options.
Designed to be slipped on without thought, it offers an effortless alternative to casual summer footwear: soft on the foot, clean in silhouette, and refined enough to move from easy mornings to working days, travel, warm-weather interiors, and relaxed summer dressing.
Each pair is constructed with a soft leather insole sock, layered cushioning, selected lacing, and a sole chosen according to intended use. Suede soles offer softness and grip for yachts, carpet, and delicate interior surfaces; leather soles suit hardwood floors and refined indoor wear; rubber soles provide greater practicality for outdoor use.
Each pair is presented in a soft bamboo silk dust bag with satin ribbon ties, created to protect the shoes between wears and extend the quiet ritual of care beyond the atelier.
Made-to-order pairs are reviewed by the atelier before work begins, with sizing guidance provided where required. Made to order after confirmation and payment.

Leather and suede are natural materials, and subtle variations in tone, grain, texture and surface markings may be present.
Every pair is cut, stitched, assembled and finished individually by hand. Gentle differences in the rhythm of the stitching and final character are a natural expression of the handmade process and ensure that no two pairs are precisely alike. These distinctions are not considered faults but form part of the individual beauty of each pair.
The Essential Slip-On features an adapted expression of the atelier’s Quattro Comfort™ approach: four considered layers of cushioning integrated discreetly within the footbed.
Working together, these layers provide softness underfoot and a more cushioned, settled feel without adding visible bulk or compromising the shoe’s lightness and flexibility.
The result is the ease of a slipper with the comfort, finish and considered structure of a beautifully made shoe.
Ego Atelier footwear is offered using European sizing as the starting reference. Size conversions between European, UK, and US sizing are approximate, and fit may vary slightly according to the style, material, construction, and individual shape of the foot.
Please select your usual European size. If you are between sizes, uncertain of your usual European size, or have a particular fit concern, contact the atelier before placing your order. Leather will soften and ease slightly with wear, but it should not be relied upon to correct an unsuitable size.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to rain, moisture, oils, and direct heat. Light-coloured leathers, suedes, and specialist materials should be handled with particular care, as they may be more susceptible to marking or colour transfer.
- The sole finish should be treated according to its intended use. Suede soles are suited to yachts, carpets, and delicate interior surfaces; leather soles suit refined indoor wear; rubber soles provide greater practicality for outdoor use.
- For cleaning, repair, or refurbishment guidance, please contact the atelier before applying any products.

Every Atelier Edit piece is made by hand after purchase rather than selected from finished stock. Please review the product description, images, size or other selections, materials, finishing details, and production time carefully before ordering. If anything is unclear, contact the atelier at sara@saraego.com before purchase; we will be pleased to help. This does not affect the cancellation rights set out below.
Because your purchase is made online, you may cancel your order without giving a reason at any time from placing your order until 14 days after the day you receive it. To cancel, send a clear statement to sara@saraego.com, quoting your name and order number. You may use the model cancellation form in the full Terms & Conditions, but you are not required to do so.
If you cancel after receiving your order, please return it within 14 days after notifying the atelier. Change-of-mind return shipping is the responsibility of the client. A tracked and insured service is strongly recommended. You may use a courier of your choice. If you ask the atelier to arrange a FedEx collection, the direct return cost will be confirmed with you before booking and deducted from your refund.
Please handle the piece only as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and fit. Footwear should be tried on indoors on a clean, protected surface. Please return the piece with its box, dust bag, and presentation materials. The refund may be reduced only to reflect an actual loss in value caused by handling, use, or damage beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop.
The product price and any standard outward delivery charge will be refunded to the original payment method within 14 days after the returned item is received, or after evidence of return is provided if earlier. The atelier may withhold the refund until the item or evidence of return has been received.
If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact the atelier promptly. Where a return is required, reasonable return costs will be arranged or reimbursed by the atelier. The appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a refund, depending on the circumstances. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
Please review the full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice before placing your order. By placing an order, you agree to the terms relating to payment, production, shipping, cancellation, returns, and client responsibilities.
