The Suede Shawl
Handmade velvet soft suede wrap for warm air, bare skin, and summer nights.
Handcrafted to order in England, with an anticipated delivery time frame of approximately two weeks. Complimentary standard UK delivery is included; international delivery charges are shown at checkout.
The Suede Shawl is a signature atelier style, handmade in England from soft suede.
Designed to be worn over the shoulders, wrapped close to the body, or carried into the evening, it brings warmth, movement, and quiet drama to summer dressing.
Each piece is cut and finished by hand, with hand-knotted suede fringe creating weight, movement, and a softly tactile edge. Colour availability may vary according to the hides available to the atelier.
Presented in a soft bamboo silk dust bag with satin ribbon ties, created to protect the piece between wears and extend the quiet ritual of care beyond the atelier.
Made to order.

Colours shown online are intended as a guide and may vary according to screen settings and lighting conditions. Tortoro is particularly responsive to light. The soft nap of the suede catches the light differently as the piece moves or is brushed, allowing the same colour to appear warmer, cooler, lighter or deeper from different angles. The gallery therefore shows Silky Sand as it naturally behaves under a range of lighting conditions.
Each shawl is crafted from natural suede. Subtle variations in tone, texture and surface markings are inherent to the material and are not considered faults; they form part of its individual character and beauty, making every piece unique.
Each Suede Shawl is cut and finished by hand in a triangular form.
Approximate dimensions:
Top edge: 121cm / 47.5"
Side edges: 82.5cm / 32.5" each
Hand-knotted side fringe: approximately 14–15cm / 5.5–6"The shawl is unlined to preserve the softness, movement, and natural handle of the suede.
- Fringe is placed along the two side edges only and may vary slightly in length according to placement, knotting, and the natural fall of the hide.
- Slight variation may occur due to the natural character of the suede, the hand-cutting process, and the way each fringe is individually knotted.
- The shawl is designed to be worn over the shoulders, wrapped close to the body, or carried as a soft suede layer through warm air, bare skin, and summer nights.
- To preserve the suede, avoid prolonged exposure to rain, moisture, oils, perfume, makeup, and direct heat.
- As suede is a natural material, tonal variation, nap direction, and subtle marks may be present and should be understood as part of the character of the hide.
- Do not machine wash. For cleaning or specialist care, consult a professional suede cleaner or contact the atelier for guidance.
- Store in the bamboo silk dust bag and box when not in use.

Every Atelier Edit piece is made by hand after purchase rather than selected from finished stock. Please review the product description, images, size or other selections, materials, finishing details, and production time carefully before ordering. If anything is unclear, contact the atelier at sara@saraego.com before purchase; we will be pleased to help. This does not affect the cancellation rights set out below.
Because your purchase is made online, you may cancel your order without giving a reason at any time from order confirmation until 14 days after the day you receive it. To cancel, send a clear statement to sara@saraego.com, quoting your name and order number. You may use the model cancellation form in the full Terms & Conditions, but you are not required to do so.
If you cancel after receiving your order, please return it within 14 days after notifying the atelier. Change-of-mind return shipping is the responsibility of the client. If you ask the atelier to arrange a FedEx collection, the direct return cost will be confirmed with you before booking and deducted from your refund.
Please handle the piece only as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and fit. Footwear should be tried on indoors on a clean, protected surface. Please return the piece with its box, dust bag, and presentation materials. The refund may be reduced only to reflect an actual loss in value caused by handling, use, or damage beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop.
The product price and any standard outward delivery charge will be refunded to the original payment method within 14 days after the returned item is received, or after evidence of return is provided if earlier. The atelier may withhold the refund until the item or evidence of return has been received.
