Bespoke
Atelier Edit
Bespoke footwear begins with the individual.
Through measurement and the creation of a unique last, each pair is developed from the structure of the foot itself - refining not only how it fits, but how it feels to wear.
Pattern, materials, and construction are considered as one system, allowing the final piece to move in alignment with the body while expressing the character and presence of the person it is made for.
Bespoke footwear is developed from a unique last created to your individual measurements, allowing for a fully personalised fit and design.
Made-to-order footwear is created using an existing last, with selected customisations applied to materials and finish.
Both are approached with the same level of precision in pattern and construction, but differ in the degree to which the structure of the shoe is developed specifically for the individual.
The bespoke process begins with a submitted questionnaire, allowing for an initial understanding of the foot, the intended design, and the scope of the work.
From this, an indicative starting point is provided.
An initial consultation may then be arranged to assess the foot in person, refine the design direction, and determine the technical approach. This consultation is charged from £300, depending on location and requirements, and is redeemable against the final commission.
Following this stage, a quotation is confirmed once design, materials, and construction have been established in full.
Bespoke footwear begins from £2,500. The creation of a unique last is £800 and forms the foundation for all future bespoke work.
A deposit is then taken to begin development, with the remaining balance due upon completion. The creation of a unique last is £800, forming the basis for all future bespoke commissions.

The entire process typically takes several months, depending on the complexity of the design, material availability, & current workflow . We will provide an estimated timeline during the complimentary Bespoke Discovery Call and keep you informed at every stage.
The number of fittings varies depending on the design's complexity and the individual's requirements.
Each stage is approached with precision, ensuring the final result aligns with both the structure of the foot and the intent of the design.

Once a last has been developed, additional pairs can be created without the need to repeat the initial pattern and last-making process.
This allows future commissions to be approached with greater efficiency, while maintaining the same level of precision in construction and finish.
The last is a working tool developed specifically for your measurements and is retained within the atelier.
Its creation reflects the labour and expertise required to establish an accurate foundation for your footwear, and allows for continuity across future commissions.

Following confirmation, a 14-day period is observed before development begins. During this time, changes or cancellation may be requested.
If you choose to proceed immediately, this period is waived and work begins at your request. Once development has commenced, the order cannot be modified or cancelled.
Consultations are arranged depending on location and requirements, and may take place in a private setting or at a suitable meeting space.
