Our work is founded on a refusal to accept discomfort as inevitable. Through an understanding of structure, anatomy, and the way the foot moves, each pair is made to serve both the body and the eye.
Traditional footwear is often constructed around heel-to-toe length. Our approach considers the heel-to-ball relationship - the axis that governs balance, flexion, and weight distribution.
For made-to-order and bespoke footwear, this thinking is supported through the Quattro Comfort™ system: an internal approach developed to refine stability, support, and ease throughout wear.
Quattro Comfort
Couture Comfort™ cushioning, developed within the Quattro Comfort™ system, is an internal approach to balancing form, fit, and function.
Comfort begins with understanding.
Much of conventional footwear asks the wearer to adapt to the shoe. Quattro Comfort™ is developed from the opposite idea: that the shoe should adapt more intelligently to the wearer.
Central to this is understanding the heel-to-ball measurement: the relationship that determines where the foot flexes, how the arch is supported, and where pressure gathers during wear. When this relationship is misaligned, weight is often forced forward onto the ball of the foot, creating discomfort and fatigue over time.
Through 4 different layers of cushioning within and around footbed, Quattro Comfort™ supports the arch, distributes weight more evenly, and helps the wearer settle more securely through the centre of the shoe.
Within made-to-order footwear, this principle refines the relationship between the foot and an existing last. Within bespoke, it evolves further - working with a last created for the individual to enhance balance, support, and ease.
Made-to-Order & Bespoke
In made-to-order footwear, the fit is developed from an existing last and offered within a defined size range. While the size is selected in advance, individual feet still differ in proportion, arch position, pressure points, and heel-to-ball relationship. Quattro Comfort™ is designed to refine this relationship from within the shoe. Through the layered footbed, the system personalises how the arch is supported, distributes weight more evenly, and helps reduce concentrated pressure at the ball of the foot. This allows the wearer to settle more securely through the centre of the shoe, creating greater stability, ease, and endurance within a made-to-order structure.
In bespoke footwear, where the last is created specifically for the individual, Quattro Comfort™ becomes an additional refinement. Working within a shoe already shaped around the wearer, it softens pressure, supports balance, and deepens the feeling of ease through wear. The result is a more settled fit: secure, responsive, and felt as a natural extension of the body.
